Sí, como para todos los vehículos es obligatorio pasar un exámen médico, ya que no deja de ser un vehículo “aéreo”.

Desde recopilar imágenes aéreas para inmortalizar bodas hasta sobrevolar escenarios de un accidente…Los drones cada vez tienen un papel más importante en muchas profesiones. ¿Pero qué es exactamente un dron?
Un dron es un vehículo aéreo no tripulado. Con características similares al avión de aeromodelismo pero con muchas más prestaciones y un diseño más sofisticado. Posee cámaras, GPS y multitud de sensores. Inicialmente fue desarrollado para ser usado en el ámbito militar como el espionaje y para el trasporte de misiles.
¿Cómo funcionan los drones?
Se manejan con un control remoto tipo joystick o mediante tablets con aplicaciones dirigidas a este fin.
¿Qué utilidades tienen los drones?
- Filmación de eventos. Ya sea en partidos de fútbol, desfiles, manifestaciones… Gracias a su tamaño, pueden filmar distintas escenas desde una distancia mucho menor que si se tratase de un helicóptero. Por este motivo, los drones tienen cada vez más relevancia en al ámbito del cine y la fotografía.
- Mensajería. Como se ha visto en TV, los drones van a poder trasportar paquetes desde cualquier punto de la ciudad. No obstante para que esto ocurra aún deben de pasar algunos años ya que la legislación actual no lo permite.
- Situaciones de emergencia. El tamaño de los drones permite que puedan acceder de forma rápida y segura a rincones dónde otros vehículos no pueden acceder, como por ejemplo en rescates en la montaña, barcos a la deriva, zonas de difícil acceso, control de incendios forestales…En Fukushima, se utilizaron drones para obtener una vista del interior del reactor nuclear para elaborar un plan de limpieza y prevención de futuras fugas. La utilización del dron fue fundamental para poder acceder a zonas que ningún ser humano podría tolerar por el alto índice de radiación.
- Vigilancia fronteriza. Gracias a los drones, en USA podrán controlar el acceso ilegal de inmigrantes, el tráfico de drogas…
- Agricultura.Para la localización de plagas, esparcimiento de pesticidas…
- Cartografía. Para la elaboración de mapas geográficos o el estudio de terrenos.
- Investigación. Los drones pueden buscar y analizar restos arqueológicos. También pueden acceder a zonas peligrosas para el ser humano como el interior de volcanes para extraer muestras.
